Eeek, so exciting to be launching the website finally. It’s a work in progress but we’ve done a lot to get here and I’m very thankful to Chris and Jack @ Print Shop in Newport Pagnell who are top lads 🤩🤩
Getting to Know Me
With this blog I’m hoping people can get to know me a bit more. To understand what motivates me, what I love about what I’m doing and why I’m doing it.
I’m Angela, I live in Newport Pagnell and work from my kitchen with my daughter, Jess, sometimes helping me out. We cook fresh meals, using fresh ingredients. I deliver them to local folks, including my dad, and they all seem to like them!

What’s Next
My dad, 91, with Alzheimer’s dementia, needed more help with his meals. He wasn’t able to cook for himself, didn’t like the ready meal options available from supermarkets, charitable meal deliveries or national frozen meals that are available and he was losing weight. Having tried those meals for myself, I could understand. He really only enjoyed my meals, so I was cooking for him every day. I thought that there must be many more people like my dad that would like to and need to eat better. So I started Silver Plate Services in December 2024. My aim is to cater for people that either don’t have time to cook or need a bit of help with meals and want to enjoy one of life’s pleasures — eating well.
We are now well into our summer menu which has gone down so well! Lots of salads and freshness — lighter cuisine — now the weather is warmer we tend not to want to be eating heavy meals. We’ve had a good take up across the whole menu, it’s reassuring to know we got it about right for our customers.
We’ve been away too, a lovely fortnight in Cyprus. The food there gave me lots of inspiration — I’ve written another blog about that — check it out.
